He wasn’t lying - I really did learn computing with this beast!
You have to give Commodore credit. Who else at that moment in time summed up “space age” more than the guy who boldy groped green alien hotties where no other starship captain had dared to before?

I think computers were more fun when it was easy to program them and get some little colored objects moving around the screen.
Now it seems like you practically need a PhD in computer science, a Java interpreter, an expensive IDE and a lot more force of will to whip out some little game — which, by the way, everyone will ignore, because they play much more sophisticated ones every day.
In those days we were very happy with anything we could get working.
And now, oddly, running Windows or OS X, it’s actually more difficult to get some little colored objects moving around on the screen. Go figure.
