Have Apple lost it?

Now, admittedly, I was sent this link as being the official iPhone 3g ad that is airing in the USA. I don’t live in the USA so I have to take their word for it. But, that said, if this is the best they can do … then that is sad.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a card-carrying Apple fan. This ad just doesn’t move me though.

What happened to the 1984 advertising Apple? Or Mac versus PC for that matter? Come on Stevey, you can do better!

I would have liked to have seen more creativity, or more humor. Apple says to me “innovative” and “design”, this doesn’t feel that way to me. Yes, it communicates “new and improved”, but so do the horrible detergent commercials.
